Webinar and Networking Event: 'Leadership in Challenging Times'

An event hosted by Aston University's UK-Centric Supply Chains Programme, chaired by Annette Rothwell, former Senior Vice President of Operations Excellence at Esterline Technologies and Executive Vice President of Purchasing and Supply Chain at Rolls Royce.
Guest speakers included Richard Atkinson CBE, Teaching Fellow at Aston University, Dr Jack Carnell, Senior Fellow at Aston University, Paul Fieldhouse Business Development Consultant for Ramco (UK) Ltd, and Tom Hennessy, Chief Executive of Opportunity Peterborough.
Richard Atkinson CBE discussed the importance of agility and adaptability in turbulent times. Richard is a former senior commander of RAF combat forces, a Director of NATO Operations, and Deputy Director of Strategic Planning in Whitehall.
Dr Jack Carnell discussed the most effective leadership approaches during a global crisis and what might happen if we cannot or will not adapt. Dr Carnell has held roles as Managing Director of a large PLC and Chairman of a National Sector Skills Council.
Paul Fieldhouse Business Development Consultant for Ramco (UK) Ltd, a surplus asset management business. Paul a former Chief Executive of a substantial food company shared his experience of the real impact of support received from UK-Centric Supply Chains programme.
Tom Hennessy Chief Executive of Opportunity Peterborough spoke about support being offered to businesses and why organisations should be engaging with all forms of support that is offered across the Greater Peterborough region. Tom was a former Project Lead for Inward Investment for Cambridgeshire County Council’s Growth & Economy Unit.
